Vectren Dayton Air Show

The Vectren Dayton Air Show is an annual event in Dayton, Ohio and is one of America’s leading air shows. Every year the air show features an impressive line up of aircraft and performers. This year the highlight of the show was the world-renowned U.S.A.F. Thunderbirds. Take a look at some of our favorite moments from this year’s show and mark your calendars for next year’s event featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels on June 27th and 28th, 2020.

  1. I was stationed in Pensacola, FL for four years and we got to not only watch the Blue Angels, but since that was their home base, we got to see them practice often. It’s really awe inspiring, isn’t it?

  2. Wow – pictures tell it all – these pictures are breathtaking – thanks for sharing. I will have to check out an air show when they come to my neck of the woods!

  3. This looks like a really cool event! We just went to the aerospace museum near our home and loved it. I would love to bring my family to a show like this!

  4. This looks like such a great show! I live in the hometown of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and we get to see the show multiple times a year. So breathtaking!

  5. Love air shows! These are some great pics – cannot wait till the Chicago Air & Water Show this year – the only bummer is the kids are already back in school and takes away the Friday practice viewing!

  6. We don’t have an airshow here in Seattle (which I find interesting, since we are the center of Boeing world), but we have an annual SeaFair, which is a month long celebration of all the cultures here with weekends full of parades, cultural shows, milk carton derbies, and the culmination is the hydroplane races on Lake Washington and the Blue Angels. The Blue Angels performances are fun!

  7. Going to air shows is one of my favorite things to do because it brings back so many great memories from my childhood. I took my older son to his first one earlier this summer and I kept laughing because he didn’t understand why they were “driving so crazy in the air.” Beautiful pictures too!

  8. I have had many great memories as a kid going to air shows. Unfortunately, since having kids, we have not been to one. They are always to much fun to see.

  9. This looks like a really great show! Where I live, we have a similar air show! I think these are very fun events!!
