The Vectren Dayton Air Show is an annual event in Dayton, Ohio and is one of America’s leading air shows. Every year the air show features an impressive line up of aircraft and performers. This year the highlight of the show was the world-renowned U.S.A.F. Thunderbirds. Take a look at some of our favorite moments from this year’s show and mark your calendars for next year’s event featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels on June 27th and 28th, 2020.
This looks like a really cool show, I want to take my boys!
Beautiful pictures! I’ve been fortunate to see the Thunderbirds once, would love to see them again!
I was stationed in Pensacola, FL for four years and we got to not only watch the Blue Angels, but since that was their home base, we got to see them practice often. It’s really awe inspiring, isn’t it?
This looks like a great show! The photos look fab!
Wow – pictures tell it all – these pictures are breathtaking – thanks for sharing. I will have to check out an air show when they come to my neck of the woods!
This looks really fun, I’ve never been to an air show but you make me want to go.
SO much fun – we love the air show here in San Fran! Kids really really love it!
This looks like a really cool event! We just went to the aerospace museum near our home and loved it. I would love to bring my family to a show like this!
My kids would love to go to something like this, looks fun! 🙂
Amazing pictures!!!
So cool! The Thunderbirds are awesome!
This is awesome! I have always wanted to go to one!
So cool! My boys would love this!
Our family loves air shows. Thanks for sharing!
This looks like such a great show! I live in the hometown of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and we get to see the show multiple times a year. So breathtaking!
oh we love airshows! my son is so into planes now 🙂 Thank you for sharing!
Aw this brings up nostalgia about attending airshows with my dad when I was a young girl!
Great photos and great post! I look forward to seeing them in person one day.
Great post! We used to live really close to an airport that hosted these shows. I miss that!
This would be a cool thing to see! I’ve been to the Air Force museum in Dayton, and it seemed like a nice place, though we only spent a few hours. I’d go back!
What a wonderful airshow!!! I have not been to an airshow in 40 years!!! I will have to take my kids and grandkids, as I always loved them!
Love air shows! These are some great pics – cannot wait till the Chicago Air & Water Show this year – the only bummer is the kids are already back in school and takes away the Friday practice viewing!
I have not seen a show like that in years, and nownI am thinking that it might be fun for my husband’s and me to take my son to one.
We don’t have an airshow here in Seattle (which I find interesting, since we are the center of Boeing world), but we have an annual SeaFair, which is a month long celebration of all the cultures here with weekends full of parades, cultural shows, milk carton derbies, and the culmination is the hydroplane races on Lake Washington and the Blue Angels. The Blue Angels performances are fun!
Going to air shows is one of my favorite things to do because it brings back so many great memories from my childhood. I took my older son to his first one earlier this summer and I kept laughing because he didn’t understand why they were “driving so crazy in the air.” Beautiful pictures too!
I have had many great memories as a kid going to air shows. Unfortunately, since having kids, we have not been to one. They are always to much fun to see.
Wow! I’ve never been to an air show but it looks so cool. Great pictures as well!
I love Air Shows!!! We have them every other year in Alaska, and the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels have been here, too.
Love air shows and we’ve seen a good handful having lived in various parts of the country!!! You snapped some great pictures, too!
This looks like a really great show! Where I live, we have a similar air show! I think these are very fun events!!
